People are always trying to find a way to achieve some fame and here we found quite a strange way to become “famous”. Ryan Mickle, just a normal guy from the USA, bought in 2006 a Range Rover Sport for just $60,000, not for daily use but for trips. Now he decided that it is more important to be environment oriented and so he wants to destroy the car. He even opened a dedicated website, “OneFewer” where he makes a lot of buzz and people can actually choose what should happen to his car.
But surely he is not just interested in only keeping a cleaner environment, there are really many ways to get rid of car without making so much noise. In the end, wouldn’t he do much more damage to the environment if he went to “violent” measures like burning the Rover or dumping it in to ocean?
Lottery prizes are sometimes so great that the winner can quit his/her job and buy a Ferrari. Well one new prize is just making it easier to drive to work and earn that Ferrari. Florida began a prize earlier this month that awards runner-up winners "Free Gas for Life". This has become a popular enough idea that Georgia and Oklahoma are giving out similar prizes. The catch in Florida is that winners actually receive 26 gas cards annually worth $100 each. So it likely still won’t completely fund the fuel for you daily-driver Ferrari, but every little bit helps.
Ian Cook, the 25-year-old artist from Solihull, West Midlands, has found his artistic niche using remote controlled cars and old tires. Chevy took notice of his unorthodox style of art work and commissioned two paintings from Cook for the London auto show. One was of the Camaro convertible, done live during the opening day of the auto show, and the other of the Beat concept car.
The artwork were created using remote control cars driven through acrylic paints, with further detail added by using old car tires. “I wanted to be an artist from a young age and decided that to be successful I needed something completely unique,” said Ian. “I’ve always been mad about anything with wheels and I figured that using cars to paint cars would capture peoples’ imaginations, so I experimented at home by driving some remote control models through paint.”

Yes, that is a home air conditioner strapped to the sunroof. Maybe he didn’t like the A.C.’s performance and decided to swap it for a bigger one? Maybe he searched everywhere for a more powerful unit and found the answer in his bedroom? Whatever happened, cold air is not longer his problem. Somebody get this man a jacket.
Anyone who loves his/her old car can almost sympathize with what this owner was trying to do. We all have got a tendency to give an aging car a new life by adding a decal, a new paint job, or even after-market parts like spoilers and scooped hoods. However, the owner of this wretched car likely had something else on his mind.
We don’t understand what he was trying to do, however exactly like us, he shouldn’t have been very pleased with the outcome. The car has been cloaked with the grisly paint and excess fat to such a degree that it’s unidentifiable and terribly frightening. The latest piece of viral video going around is Danica Patrick’s verbal bout with fellow female driver Milka Duno. This latest tiff is from the Honda Indy 200 held in Ohio. Patrick doesn’t get to throw a punch – maybe its because she finally learned her lesson from trying to fight Ryan Briscoe at the Indy 500, or maybe the pit wall got in the way. Nevertheless, it serves as a reminder when you’re in the IRL and your female, people take notice to your temper. On the other hand, if you were in NASCAR, it rarely makes news unless more then two entire teams are involved.

However, there was somebody who could think in a matchless fashion. Someone who conceptualized out of the box to create magic inside a box. This is by far the most bizarre and amazing find inside a garbage truck - a completely furnished house comprising of a kitchen, a sleeping area, a comfortable lounge and space even to park your bike! So the question that remains is where do you go now when the wife asks you to take out the trash?

We can’t seem to put forward enough of Beetle mods, restorations and peculiar cars based on this epic hatch. So why would somebody do such a thing of acquiring a Corolla and making a VW out of it?
Possibly it could have been a man’s discontentment over the $60,000 expenditure to import the Beetle into his nation. Even so, this Corolla-derived Beetle borrowed from other company’s parts bins to try and make it whole. For instance, the seats are from BMW, the mirrors are from the Honda Civic, and countless interior bits are from unknown places. Merely the badges and lights are loaned from the Beetle making this a project car that has truly gone nowhere.
It’s the first GPS system that may tell you to not go anywhere. Jaty Electronics in South Korea is now producing a GPS system that also includes an integrated breathalyzer. The JTNV-DR7200 offers a visual readout of your blood alcohol content that includes a skull and crossbones graphic when you’ve crossed the liquor line. This can now be your after-bar best friend because it not only helps tell the cabbie exactly where you are, but you can also use the memory function to find your car the next morning. Those lucky South Koreans also get integrated media players and a USB port, so you can have something to do while waiting for the taxi or, if you didn’t listen to the DR7200, waiting to post bail. The system is marketed to have be ability to go just about anywhere, so now you can also know when you’re too drunk to golf, fish, ski, hike, bike, hunt…
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and in the case of these owners, they may be blind. It just so happens that all of these automotive crimes happen to come from the same country, Russia. Just like last week’s golden Porsche, be glad these are not in your driveway.
For these unfortunate owners, no one mentioned that PVC piping, rivets and house paint do not make for proper car modifications. Then again, it takes a special person to craft SLR doors for a Lada or to attempt to turn a sedan into a Porsche Cayenne.
Of course there are professional Russian tuners out there, but they wouldn’t be as much fun to show. After all, every country is guilty having a select few do-it-yourself car guys.
